We are here in Portimao for the holidays. Storks feature prominently in the landscape and we take advantage of being in the marina for projects.

To Portimão
Time to head south! We take a few days to sail from Lisbon to Portimao on the south coast of Portugal in the Algarve region. Good weather and sailing!

Oeiras: Scooter rides, the Palácio with its gardens and Carcavelos wine. Chestnuts, holiday lights, projects, travel, and a broken tooth.

We are in the Lisbon area for a month or more, enjoying all that our “city of love” has to offer… including our favorite: Castro’s Pastel de Nata.

Porto to Lisbon
Porto to Lisbon is 3 day sails away, and there’s a hurricane coming across the Atlantic. But Figueira do Foz is a safe harbor to hide along the way!

Trip to the NL
What a joy to fly back to the NL to celebrate! We are here for Wim’s daughter’s “hand fasting” ceremony and to spend time with family.

Olá Portugal!
Our 1st stop in Portugal… Viana do Castelo. Scooter rides, hull cleaning on the drying grid, and yummy bolos de Berlin and pastel de natas!

Ria de Vigo II
We enjoy the Ria de Vigo and get some projects done as we wait for the package, our Sailrite, to arrive. It finally shows up!

We’ve finally left Ria de Arosa and headed south for Ria de Vigo. We’ll leave our Girl in the Moana Mar marina and travel to the US!
