Captain’s Log (T-79) – the complete story
We will have to wait for a place in the steel workshop. One of the jobs is fitting in a bow thruster. For that, a steel tube has to be welded in the bow and that has to be done inside a hall. Welding in the outside is only possible when there is no wind. Otherwise, the protective gas of the welding torch will blow away and the quality of the welds would be very bad. And, since we have pretty bad weather with a lot of rain, wind, and cold, the only option is to wait.
So, we spend the time washing and cleaning everything.
We clean the sail covers by soaking them for a day in water with handwashing powder dissolved in it and treat ‘m with the little high pressure cleaner. We do the same procedure with some of the ropes which didn’t get clean very well in the washing machine. Everything looks like new! We’re very happy with the result.
