Jun 29 – Sher’s Birthday AND Sail Away Party!
Today is our Sail Away party and also Sher’s birthday! In the early morning, sneaky, before anyone’s awake, Wim picks a big bunch of beautiful, delicious-smelling wild lilacs from a tree at the parking lot of the marina!
And in the afternoon, a lovely Sail Away Party! We get beautiful presents and have a great time with family and friends. Happily, we’ll still have another opportunity to visit with family while in the Amsterdam area, so it isn’t final farewells to everyone.
Wim’s Mom gave us a beautiful sailing bag that she made herself! She also gave us the handmade sweater and scarf for Sher’s little bear… he was jealous of his older brother “Schilder”, who has his own hand-knit outfit! Wim’s (former) kitty has her photo on the custom beer labels… so sweet!
